Jessica Krause Smith

Jessica Krause Smith is a New York City-based painter who has consistently been exploring and reflecting her varied and full life experiences with the visual language of abstract art for many years. With a rich portfolio of paintings that spans more than two decades of determined experimentation and artistic growth she has continuously exhibited her work in New York in galleries and non-profit spaces. Her work is in the permanent collection of the Tang Museum in Saratoga Springs, New York and various private collections across the U.S. With her keen eye for aesthetics and deep understanding of color, Krause Smith has also seamlessly transitioned into art directing and graphic design for major global brands for many years in New York City, bringing a unique blend of creativity and strategic vision for each project. She graduated with honors from Skidmore College in 1997 with a concentration in Studio Art (Painting and Graphic Design). She comes from a large and dynamic family and is the eldest of her four siblings along with her fraternal twin sister. Krause Smith is Brooklyn-based studio is Greenpoint and she lives nearby in Williamsburg, Brooklyn with her husband, their 10 year old daughter and 1 year old cat.
